I have an old outdated photo program which I have used religiously since1997 or 1999. It was/is called Kai's Photo Soap. This was bought out by someone else in 2005 (can't remeber who). It worked fine on my XP hard drive but after installation into Windows7, I can't access the program. I would really like to keep using it and if nothing else I would like to retrieve the photos within it.
The first error I got was it 'couldn't find axiom.dll. I looked for and copied an axion.dll from online and added it toWindowsSysWOW64in addition to the program. Now I am getting this message: cannot open because cannot find?WasVisable@@UBEEXZ. Now, I kind of understand that the axiom.dll file that I downloaded from the Internet might NOT be right for this particular program (Soap), therefore the second errindows 7, please?
Last, but not least, if it can't run in Windows7 I really need to retieve the photo files from a backup of my old computer OR maybe they are on the new computer but I don't know what the name of the file is. I really liked this old program as I was able to clean up old photos, and pictures from newspapersand also damaged pics to use in my other hobby, genealogy.
Please, please help me? Was hoping you could run a virtual Windows XP system.:-(Given the research basically says it does not work on Windows 64-bit.Without another machine or a virtual machine (if you have an unused license of Windows XP, etc.) - you won't likely be getting that to work.I would think that the application just saved the pictures/files in some directory.
