Fly tampa maarten is a very good scenery for fsx. If you are searching scenery for st maarten (TNCM) St bartlemey (TFFJ) or Saba (SABA) you are in luck. Fly tampa is one of the best scenery creators in the world (personal opionion). They have two packages one the demo (no time limit) but you only get TNCM. I originally bought this scenery years ago and just updated to the v1.5 and it looks great. However, the update had some issues. I had to use the jetway.bgls from the original scenery to see the jetways. Overall, Flytampa has done an amazing job building the scenery to the exact detail. I'm actually from SXM and it's very close or identical to the real thing.
I love that they removed the old terminal, even though they originally had it a monument. But it gives a true feel to the accuracy of TNCM. Check Flytampa's forum for any updates.
Another note, runway 28 is used only for takeoffs for large aircraft and landing for GA. So naturally runway 10 is used for both landing and takeoffs in FSX. This is awesome!
Following the special approach procedure into TNCM I look out of the window from my MD11 and see the vehicles move smooth and realistic in a scenery that looks so real. Then you see the boats and the track of those of them that are moving. The number of details are incredible high.How is it possible to make such a sceney and still keep the FPS performance at a fantastic high level?
I guess so!For those who happily have invested in Aerosoft AES, will together with FlyTampa TNCM think that it's not 'as real as it gets' any more - it's REAL! This scenery is GROUND-BREAKING!!!!!!!!!!!!FlyTampa has raised the bar as far as sceneries go to an all new height. Other companies are going to have to look at and learn from FlyTampa in order to compete in the market.
I highly recommend this scenery to everyone in the flightsim community. There are 'Easter Eggs' all over the place, though yes the only downfall would be there is no naked women sun tanning on the beach as you come in for a landing at TNCM. Probably a good thing as most of us would more than likely stall the aircraft out and crash right there on top of them;-). For so much detail to be put into this scenery and trust me this is the most I have ever seen even more than Aerosofts Frankfurt-Main, there is absolutly no, no what so ever impact on frame rates 'I run what microsoft calls a medium system'. You should not waste any time thinking about getting this scenery, the reviews speak wonders for it, as well as for all of FlyTampa's sceneries. Highly recommend all but this should be the first one to get if you dont have any of FlyTampa's products.
This scenery is just so AWSOME!!!!!!!!! I am a customer for life, and regardless of where the next scenery is I will get it. Baby it just dont get better. Gosh I hate to sound like a cheerleader in these reviews.

Before the release of FSX, most people wouldn't have expected to see something as good as this scenery released for FS2004. I have FSX, and a brand new computer to go with it.but let's not talk about my FSX woes here Ok? I'll just say that I didn't get a chance to look at the scenery after installing to FSX because I haven't built up the nerve to fool with that program just for the sake of curiosity. If you like other FlyTampa sceneries, you'll love this scenery as well. If you've never experienced any of the FlyTampa sceneries, here's a nice one to start with. This scenery is about more than object placement, it's about creating an enjoyable flightsim environment. AI boating and ground vehicles, terrain textures just add icing to the cake.
Makes my longer than expected relationship with FS9 seem not so bad after all. At last - some scenery to rave about!I have not tried the FSX version yet but in FS9 this is just as good as any other Flytampa products. Great frame rates with superb textures make flying to the 3 airports/fields included a real pleasure to fly to and from.I did have FS ST Maarten from Tropicalsim installed but even though that was quite good, Flytampa have put so much more detail into the product.If you like what you see on the screenshots - you will just fly in wonder when you get moving in FS.Im desparately trying to find something to dislike about this product - lack of topless girls on the beach perhaps?!!RegardsGJ.
